About the role Reports to: Managing Partner

Location: 575 Boices Lane, Kingston, NY 12401

Expectation At Jobsite: Level 4 (on-site at both Factory & Showroom)

Travel: Up to 5%

Role Description - What Success Looks Like The Director of People & Culture is accountable for employee relations, helping RBW leaders retain and nurture team members and successfully onboard new talent. You will be driving the development and execution of our people strategy. In this position, you'll help RBW leaders create an inclusive, safe, and productive environment for all our employees. In line with RBW’s mission, you will also champion sustainability as part of a team that supports our purpose to positively transform environments, communities, and lives. You will use your extensive HR expertise, business acumen, influencing skills and creativity to develop and implement the best HR solutions, aligned with RBW’s business objectives, vision, mission, and culture.

What you'll do

Supports the creation of a comprehensive people plan in support of RBW’s business strategy

Accountable for Developing a quarterly recruiting plan to meet current and future hiring needs

Builds and, down the road, supervises the People & Culture team

Responsible for managing relationships with external recruiters

Accountable for talent development, including training and leadership development, career progression, diversity initiatives, providing leadership with performance assessments guidance, and performance improvement/disciplinary assistance

Continuously improves programs that result in increased organizational effectiveness and engagement, such as on-boarding process, new hire skill matrix, Town Hall meetings, monthly new hire welcome celebrations and team engagement events

Develops and implements change management and communication strategies to facilitate employee engagement and ensure transparency of information to employees, communicating updates on people initiatives across the company, collect and share relevant cultural activity content

Accountable for Developing and administering human resources policies and procedures that relate to company personnel, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local legislation relating to compensation, benefits, employment practices, and similar aspects of human resource management

Acts as a change agent and promotes innovation and continuous improvement, implementing new initiatives and employee programs that advance and promote RBW's culture and core values

Assists with annual growth planning with finance & other department leaders

Acts as the intermediary for all employee relations issues

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Minimum 12 years of HR/People Operations experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws

Demonstrated ability to manage the full life cycle recruiting process.

Proven experience updating and maintaining employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Experience implementing employee training programs is a plus.

Strong communication skills with a focus on providing friendly and prompt service.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Proficiency in Google Workspace, Notion, Wrike, Rippling, Culture Amp

Compensation The pay range for this role is:

120,000 - 150,000 USD per year (Kingston NY)
