Project Description We are seeking a creative, detail‑oriented Lighting Designer to work with our director, designers, TD and crew. You will design and help hang and focus your lighting design for JOB. The responsibilities include reading the script, consulting with the director and our production team, detailed drawings, dry tech, attending production meetings (Zoom or in person). Candidate will oversee and work with crew on hang and focus. The ideal candidate must have proven experience as a lighting designer, and an exceptional eye for detail.
In Kingston for hang and focus + production meetings, opening and strike. Some flexibility with hang/focus/load‑in dates.
Housing and round‑trip transportation NYC/Kingston provided.
Fee: $1,500‑$2,000
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Lighting Designer
Degree in Theatre Design or a related field
Excellent visual awareness and spatial design skills
Knowledge of the latest design, 3D modelling and drafting software
Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Having a driver’s license and car is a plus
Being based in the NYC metro or Hudson Valley area a plus
Interviews INTERVIEWS will be in February in NYC & in the Mid-Hudson Valley
