
Member Service Representative

The front Desk staff role is defined around the YMCA’s core principles: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Under the supervision of the Membership Coordinator, the front desk staff is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to all members, guests, and participants of the YMCA. This individual will be responsible for the sale of memberships, responding to members' needs, and maintaining a clean work area, all while adhering to the YMCA’s core principles.
Responsibilities include:
Engaging with members with a positive, upbeat attitude.
Conducting tours for prospective members.
Entering member information into the software system accurately.
Handling money and giving change accurately.
Assisting with and handling concerns from members, guests, and participants. Escalating unresolved issues to a manager.
Forwarding calls to the appropriate department.
Qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of customer service experience preferred.
CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
