ESS Direct End User Business Development Representative
Job Purpose:
As a Direct End User ESS Business Development Representative at CPS America, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth within the commercial and industrial (C&I) and large-scale energy storage systems (ESS) markets. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and expand our ESS business by securing new customers, fostering and developing strong relationships, and delivering outstanding customer service. Your focus will be on generating new business opportunities while enhancing existing partnerships to ensure long-term success for both CPS and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Business Growth:
Lead efforts to expand CPS’s ESS presence by developing new accounts and growing existing business in the C&I and large-scale sectors.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and creating opportunities for sustained growth.
Market Insight:
Analyze customer data to stay ahead of changing market trends and proactively address shifting customer needs.
Effective Communication:
Engage with customers through phone, email, and in-person meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of their requirements and how CPS can meet them.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and fulfillment of all customer requests.
Revenue Generation:
Provide accurate quotes and consistently drive sales performance to aid in meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
Qualifications
Mid-Level business development, 2-7 years experience
Looking for hunter mentality versus farmer
Ability to consistently schedule customer meetings weekly
Willingness to travel to customer
Business degree or experience required
Must be highly motivated and goal oriented to reach or exceed sales goals
Provide excellent customer service to customers
Knowledge of the PV/ESS industry is heavily desired
Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects and/or programs concurrently
Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations to technical audiences
Travel
Travel:
Expect up to 50% travel to visit clients and participate in trade shows, helping to develop and grow the business.
