is seeking dedicated, values-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors as we continue to grow and deepen our community impact.
About Us
The Youth Empowerment & Stability Foundation is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit committed to empowering youth and young adults to achieve self-sufficiency, stability, resilience, and meaningful civic engagement. Grounded in equity, lived experience, and youth-centered leadership, our work ensures young people are not only served—but heard, supported, and equipped to lead.
As a developing organization, our Board plays a vital role in shaping direction, strengthening infrastructure, and building sustainable systems for long-term impact.
Role of the Board
Board Members serve as the governing and fiduciary body of the organization, working in partnership with leadership to provide strategic guidance, financial oversight, and community advocacy while supporting responsible and ethical growth.
Key Responsibilities
Advance the mission, vision, and values
Help set strategic priorities informed by youth voice
Support program development and evaluation
Provide financial oversight and planning support
Assist with resource development
Commit to supporting fundraising
Governance & Accountability
Ensure legal, ethical, and nonprofit compliance
Participate in decision-making and policy development
Community Advocacy & Growth
Serve as an ambassador and build partnerships
Promote organizational impact and sustainability
Center equity, inclusion, and lived experience
Time Commitment
Attend regular board meetings and planning sessions
Review materials in advance and engage actively
Serve on committees or attend events as needed
This is a
volunteer, unpaid position.
