The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $84,000, depending on experience and skill sets.

Position Summary

Shawmut Services is seeking a versatile and motivated individual for the role of Deputy Recruitment Director who will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment pipeline of project staff for the 2026 mid-term election cycle. The Deputy Recruitment Director will work with company leadership to ensure the acquisition of top talent to support our various political campaigns and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating the hiring process.

Leadership: Build, lead and manage a diverse recruitment team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team members meet their goals and objectives.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each political campaign or client.

Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to track recruitment metrics, assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and make data-driven decisions to optimize recruitment efforts.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the recruitment process.

Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including campaign managers, communications specialists, and policy advisors, to understand their talent needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of paid political field work (management role preferred).

Minimum of 3 years managing 5 or more direct reports.

Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources management, preferably in a political or campaign environment.

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.

Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in data analysis and experience using recruitment software and HRMS tools.

Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends.

Enjoys working collaboratively and is willing to step up and pitch in to help reach our goals with a positive, collegial attitude.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Physical Requirements

As this is a remote position, the individual in this position must be able to communicate with colleagues and partners via phone, including conference and video calls, as well as written communication such as email.

The position requires the ability to attend occasional in-person events throughout the year which may encompass all or part of the work day.

This position may entail other travel. Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by Shawmut Services.

This position requires vision/hearing abilities.

Must possess a cell phone, laptop, and reliable internet.
