We are looking for a

Freelance Unity Developer

to collaborate with our interdisciplinary team on immersive, installation-based experiences. This role is ideal for a creative technologist who excels at bringing interactive environments to life through real-time 3D development, computer vision, and spatial computing.

You’ll work alongside designers, producers, and technologists to prototype and build robust interactive systems—combining Unity development with media integration, pose tracking, and user interaction. This position is perfect for someone passionate about experiential design, who thrives in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize interactive experiences in Unity for physical installations and museum environments

Integrate computer vision systems, including AI-based hand, skeleton, or pose tracking methods

Implement and animate 3D characters, including rigging and mapping to real-time input

Collaborate with design, content, and AV teams to ensure seamless integration of digital and physical components

Build prototypes to test interaction models and user flow

Participate in technical planning, documentation, and troubleshooting across all phases

Contribute to on-site setup, testing, and refinement as needed

Qualifications

3–5 years of professional experience in Unity development, ideally with physical or installation-based projects

Strong proficiency in C# and Unity’s 3D engine workflows

Experience working with computer vision frameworks (OpenCV, MediaPipe, or similar)

Understanding of real-time 3D character animation, rigging, and user-driven motion mapping

Comfortable working closely with designers, AV vendors, and fabricators

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Strong communication and documentation abilities

Nice to Have

Familiarity with pose estimation and motion capture pipelines

Experience developing interactive media for museums or public spaces

Knowledge of hardware and sensors (depth cameras, projection, motion tracking)

Understanding of performance optimization for real-time graphics
