The successful candidate will work closely with the founding Abbot, Vice Abbot, and Board to bring the organization's vision to life, rooted in compassion, community, and care. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic collaboration and hands-on execution, with a focus on guiding operations, strengthening systems, and maintaining a culture of trust, belonging, and excellence. The Executive Director will also be responsible for nurturing the financial health of the community through thoughtful fundraising and creative income strategies, all in alignment with the mission of transforming care.
The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company is a seasoned leader with a profound respect for contemplative traditions and/or spiritual communities. They should be a hands-on, relational, and collaborative leader with a service mindset, capable of fostering strong relationships across diverse stakeholders. Essential skills include exceptional judgment, communication, organizational skills, and emotional intelligence. The role demands a leader who can champion a culture of collaboration, authenticity, compassion, and belonging, and who is adept at managing operations for an active and engaged community. Experience in raising $2-3M annually and building earned revenue streams is a key requirement, as is the ability to support professional growth and engagement across the team.
