Cleveland‑Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Associate Order Management Representative at our East Chicago, IN office. As a member of the order management team, you will be responsible for the entry and processing of varied customer purchase orders. This position requires accurate data entry in a fast‑paced environment.
Summary of Responsibilities
Understand customer purchase order, contract, or part specification sheet requirements and how the information applies to the production of steel.
Enter orders using appropriate technologies into various entry systems.
Review and check orders for discrepancies and/or errors, updating where appropriate.
Develop knowledge of internal business processes and systems.
Process customer order changes that impact the manufacturing/processing or shipment of steel.
Review and resolve order issues with internal stakeholders.
Understand specific production plant capabilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Time‑management and organization skills.
Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications
High‑volume order entry/processing experience.
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
