Pastor of Student Ministries
FUNCTION: Lead the church to develop and maintain an effective ministry to Students (grades 7-12). This position is a ministerial staff position and is under the direct supervision of the Family Pastor.
RESPONSIBILIITES:
Understands the foundations of Christian faith and is called to lead/disciple youth through all stages of student life.
Work directly with Student Ministry leadership in planning, resourcing, and supporting the reaching, teaching and ministering for students in cooperation with the Sunday School Coordinator(s) and the Grow Team.
Coordinates, promotes, implements, and further develops a quality spiritual education for Youth, which would include Sunday School, Sunday and Wednesday night activities, and any other special events, etc.
Works with parents, church staff and other leaders to facilitate the spiritual and social development of youth by reaching, teaching and ministering them to become disciple-makers.
Advise in the use, purchase and maintenance of program materials, equipment, supplies and space for student ministry activities.
Provides leadership that is in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of our church and follows the Senior Pastor’s vision of leadership.
Plan and coordinate training for all volunteer leaders working with students.
Attend and/or participate in convention/conference to enhance personal, professional, and spiritual growth as provided in the budget.
Comply with church policy and efforts related to safety and security of all students and events.
Communicates and publishes all activities through social media, newsletters, bulletins, and the church calendar as needed.
Represent Parkside through student activities and community events. (Ex. F.C.A, Sporting events, band concerts, Fall Festival, etc.)
COMMITTEES:
Serve as a member of the Church Council.
Present a yearly budget request to the Finance Committee for needed program funds and expenditures.
Serve as staff liaison to assigned committees
