We are looking for an
experienced Venture Debt Underwriter
to evaluate
credit risk, structure debt deals, and manage lending transactions
for startups. The ideal candidate has a
strong background in venture debt, revenue-based financing, and risk assessment , along with a deep understanding of
early-stage company financials and alternative lending markets . Key Responsibilities
Credit Analysis : Assess the financial health and creditworthiness of early-stage and high-growth companies. Financial Modeling : Build detailed financial models to evaluate
cash flow, debt servicing, and risk exposure . Risk Assessment : Identify and mitigate risks in
venture debt and revenue-based financing transactions . Loan Structuring : Design
customized lending solutions
aligned with startup growth trajectories. Portfolio Management : Monitor
loan performance and risk exposure
across multiple borrowers. Market Research : Stay updated on
industry trends, venture capital, and alternative credit markets . Reporting & Insights : Present
credit memos, risk assessments, and investment recommendations . Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Economics, Business Administration , or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g.,
CFA, CPA ) are a plus. Experience
3-5+ years
of experience in
venture debt underwriting, structured credit, or revenue-based financing . Strong track record of
assessing startup risk and structuring non-dilutive financing solutions . Deep understanding of
financial statements, credit metrics, and financial modeling . Skills
Strong
quantitative and analytical skills
with expertise in
financial modeling . Proficiency in
Excel, SQL , and other
data analysis tools . Attention to detail
and ability to evaluate complex financial scenarios. Excellent
communication and negotiation
skills. Familiarity with venture capital, private credit, and structured finance markets . Salary and Benefits
