Leasing Consultant

Stonemark . Basic Function:
Markets, shows, and leases apartments to prospective tenants. Responds to all applicants and residents in a courteous and prompt manner regarding leasing, marketing, and resident relations. Principle Responsibilities:
The activities listed below are not inclusive; however, they are indicative of the typical duties performed by the Leasing Consultant. Other duties may be assigned. Essential Functions: Maintain accurate, updated inventory of available apartments, prospective residents, and renewal information. Establish rapport with prospective residents, determine their needs and desires, and present the community accordingly. Schedule appointments for showing apartments, overcome objections, obtain lease commitments, and follow up with undecided prospects. Verify rental applications for accuracy and compliance with regulations. Prepare move-in and welcome packages. Assist with move-in/move-out processes and ensure apartments are clean and attractive for showings. Assist in rent collection and process maintenance service requests. Help prepare community newsletters. Support the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager, taking on responsibilities during their absence. Pre-qualification:
Approve pre-qualification of prospective residents. Develop, Review, and Submit: Rental applications, leases, and renewals. Correspondence with residents and prospects. Monthly newsletter. Propose resident activities or social events. Handle exceptional cases regarding lease renewals or applications. Requirements: Education/Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of related leasing experience/training; or equivalent combination. Abilities and Aptitudes:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; well-organized, professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and diligent. Poise and a positive attitude are essential. Specific Skills:
Knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Internet software. Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly. Visual acuity for close focus and focus adjustment. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Seniority level
