$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from IDEX Consulting Ltd Joining this top Insurer in New York as an Ocean Marine Cargo Underwriter you’ll be offered a book of business in the $3mil - $5million range and be part of a well-established underwriting team who hold a wealth of experience. Not only will you have senior individuals to work closely with and learn from, there is some planned succession planning in the pipeline, meaning there is no ceiling here for your development. You’ll be offered more responsibility and authority over time and of course, pay rises to go along side that. You will predominantly focus on marine cargo and stock throughput business but as the ocean and inland marine teams within this insurer collaborate together, there is opportunity to get involved in other areas (This is optional, however). An expectation would be to meet annual company goals for profitability, renewal retention, revenue growth, new business production and customer service standards as well as evaluate risk acceptability within established guidelines and set appropriate rates and factor levels On top of a base salary up to $150k, you'll receive a generous 401k, dental and health cover as well as a 15% target bonus, however you are able to earn more depending on personal performance – The company have paid out a good level of bonus every year for the past 18 years! You’ll operate well in a hybrid set up, 3 days at home and 2 in the office. This is a superb and well sought after opportunity.
