Travel Rate:
$3,959.50/week
Schedule
40 hours per week
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday

Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Director of Nursing (DON)
to lead and support the Behavioral Health department at a healthcare facility in
Brooklyn, NY.
This leadership role is responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within a behavioral health environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in behavioral health nursing services. Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and implement initiatives to improve patient care outcomes and nursing staff performance.
Monitor, analyze, and evaluate patient care performance metrics in collaboration with nursing leadership.
Conduct unit assessments and implement corrective action plans to address identified gaps.
Develop, maintain, and oversee documentation and tracking systems related to medication errors and staff counseling.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and ongoing guidance to nursing staff within the Behavioral Health department.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Primary Source Verification through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
Current BLS certification.
Demonstrated experience working in a Behavioral Health setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
