Construction Superintendent

About the Opportunity A well-established commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on complex, high-quality projects. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day jobsite execution, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards from project start through closeout. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively with diverse teams, and takes pride in delivering exceptional construction outcomes. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and inspections Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and daily activity logs Monitor construction progress to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and timelines Coordinate inspections and communicate with project leadership on progress, risks, and constraints Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily jobsite check-ins Identify scope gaps, sequencing issues, or quality concerns and proactively resolve them Verify subcontractor compliance with contract requirements and safety expectations Open and secure the jobsite daily and maintain proper site controls Collaborate closely with project managers to support budget, schedule, and quality goals Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction field supervision Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, trades, and jobsite logistics Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals Proficiency with common construction technology and software (project management platforms a plus) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working on active jobsites and managing multiple priorities
