Director of Congregational Engagement

Overview

Director of Congregational Engagement – First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, Wilmette

This position will help FPCW achieve its mission to Experience God, Grow Disciples, and Transform Lives by helping to generate engagement among existing and new members. This role serves as a connector between visitors and the church, between committees, between staff and volunteers, and across ministry areas to connect congregation, visitors, staff, clergy, and volunteers.

The role will work with staff, committees and Session to identify opportunities for engagement and to promote and communicate these opportunities to new and existing members. It will also involve creating processes and systems to streamline communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for engagement and promote them to new and existing members.
• Serve as a connector between visitors and the church, committees, staff, volunteers, clergy, and across ministry areas.
• Collaborate with staff, committees, and Session to develop engagement opportunities.
• Create processes and systems to streamline internal communication about engagement opportunities.
