Position Summary
Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services (PESS) Psychiatrist and Medical Director at Clara Maass Medical Center. The Medical Director will coordinate medical staff and clinical staffing activities and provide direct patient care within the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service sites, and support the Inpatient Unit and Short-Term Care Facility as needed. The role includes team meetings, treatment planning, disposition, and other certifying requirements. Ideal for psychiatrists seeking to continue practicing within an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
Coordinate medical staff and clinical staffing activities for the PESS sites. Provide direct patient care within the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service sites. Support the Inpatient Unit and Short-Term Care Facility as needed. Direct and participate in team meetings, treatment planning, disposition, and other certifying requirements.
Qualifications
- ABPN board-certified in Adult Psychiatry
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
- Ideally experienced working in an inpatient setting
- High energy, adaptable, and able to work on a team
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $315,000 to $505,000 per year. Compensation will depend on educational background, skills, and professional experience.
