Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical Director in Psychiatry who specializes in eating disorders to join Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. This full‑time position will be responsible for providing psychiatric services within the continuum of services of the Eating Disorder program. The role is ideal for psychiatrists seeking a leadership position and are passionate about caring for patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and related psychiatric comorbidities.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $315,000 to $505,000 per year. Compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Qualifications
- BC/BE in Adult Psychiatry
- New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
- Comfortable seeing patients with eating disorders
- Ideally experienced working in an inpatient setting
- High energy, adaptable, and able to work on a team
