Job Description
The Director of Table Games is responsible for the Table Games Department for Horseshoe Baltimore. The position reports to the GM of Casino Operations. The Director will lead the floor install for the grand opening as well as the ongoing operation of table games at Horseshoe Baltimore.
Key Job Functions
- Lead all departmental initiatives related to the casino grand opening, including hiring, training, process/procedure development, and product/equipment/supply acquisition and install.
- Lead the Table Games operation post opening.
- Maintain knowledge of local jurisdictional gaming laws and company internal controls.
- Manage department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost analysis, labor analysis, planning and promotions.
- Provide outstanding service to guests and handle premium player events.
- Investigate reports of variances and take appropriate action in accordance with policies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor internal control environment of the department.
- Create initiatives to improve employee experience and ratings.
- Set performance expectations and provide coaching, career development, and operational support for direct reports.
- Collaborate with ESS Table Games leadership to ensure product mix aligns with the Horseshoe brand.
- Schedule staff in alignment with business volumes.
- Apply Lean principles to improve quality and customer service.
- Provide leadership and develop relationships with department managers.
- Uphold business objectives, ethics, and values as per the Code of Commitment and Service Profit Chain.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school) or 3–5 years equivalent training/experience required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years table games experience with progressive supervisory/management experience.
- Literate and fluent in English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to handle complex and emotional issues.
- Role model and lead by example.
- Adherence to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.

Physical, Mental, And Environmental Demands
- Work independently for long periods (up to 4 hours).
- Stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and handle manual tasks.
- Respond calmly to employee conflicts.
- Move throughout property, including stairways of at least 20 steps or an escalator.
- Handle visual and aural cues.
- Operate computer and office equipment.
- Work in dusty, noisy, bright lighting environments.
- Work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- $115,000 to $140,000.
- Yearly bonus incentive.
