Overview

You have shaped a compelling academic vision in the past and taken ownership of its results. You’ve led visibly, not from the margins. When it comes to the science of learning, you’ve constructed something substantive, produced outcomes that validate its effectiveness, and earned credibility to represent it publicly.

2 Hour Learning has developed a system in which students achieve learning gains at twice the conventional rate within just two hours per day. AI‑driven tutoring, mastery‑based advancement, and a fundamental break from traditional classroom design produce these results. The outcomes speak for themselves, and we now seek a leader capable of harmonizing execution across varied school contexts, elevating academic standards, and serving as the authoritative voice for a movement rooted in rigorous learning science.

This role is not theoretical. It is a leadership imperative. You will take ownership of academic strategy in action, establish clear benchmarks, surface execution weaknesses, and guide high‑performing teams toward tangible outcomes. You will convert our scientific underpinnings into operational rigor and articulate the case for this model on a global stage.

Responsibilities

  • Design academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational architecture, and application design.
  • Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.
  • Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
  • Ensure strategic coherence through structured planning, iterative feedback, and milestone governance to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
  • Serve as the face of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence systemic change in global education paradigms.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Working on fragmented curriculum initiatives that lack systemic impact.
  • Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational execution.
  • Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external advisors.
  • Depending on institutional prestige or abstract theory to win over critical audiences.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
  • Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
  • Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
  • Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
  • Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
  • Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders

Nice‑to‑have Requirements:

  • Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture
  • Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
  • Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks
