Full-Time | On-Site****From $42/hr**Midtown Oaks Post Acute is seeking an experienced and motivated **Director of Staff Development (DSD)** to lead education, training, and competency development for our nursing team. This leadership role is critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and continuous staff growth.### Position SummaryThe Director of Staff Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all education and training programs for nursing and clinical staff. The DSD ensures compliance with **California Department of Public Health (CDPH)**, **CMS**, and facility policies, while promoting best practices in patient care.### ### Key Responsibilities* Develop, implement, and oversee staff education and training programs in accordance with **CDPH and federal regulations*** Ensure all nursing staff meet **orientation, annual, and ongoing in-service training** requirements* Coordinate and document new hire orientation and clinical competency assessments* Maintain accurate training records and documentation for surveys and audits* Provide infection prevention education in collaboration with Infection Preventionist* Educate staff on policies, procedures, and changes in regulations* Conduct skills validation, competency testing, and remediation as needed* Support Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives* Collaborate with DON, ADON, and interdisciplinary leadership* Participate in survey preparation and response to plans of correction related to staff education### ### CDPH & Regulatory Requirements (Must Meet)* **Active California RN license** in good standing* Minimum **2 years of nursing experience*** At least **1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility*** Completion of a **CDPH-approved Director of Staff Development (24-hour) course*** (Must be completed within **6 months** of appointment if not already certified)* Demonstrated knowledge of **Title 22, CMS, and long-term care regulations**### ### Preferred Qualifications* Prior experience as a DSD or nurse educator in a SNF* Strong teaching, leadership, and communication skills* Organized, detail-oriented, and survey-ready mindset* Experience with electronic training and LMS platforms* Infection control or QAPI experience a plus### * Supportive leadership team* Stable, well-established post-acute facility* Opportunity to shape clinical excellence and staff development* Competitive compensation (DOE)* Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)**Apply today** to join Midtown Oaks Post Acute and make a lasting impact on staff education, compliance, and resident care.PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country.
