Reporting to the Director of Product, the Senior Technical Writer will join the Docs Team to author and maintain documentation for W&B’s machine learning developer tools. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Sales to capture feature updates and user feedback, and to produce clear, engaging product docs, tutorials, guides, example scripts, and reference material.

What You’ll Do

Prioritize and execute docs projects, rolling out new product documentation, tutorials, guides, example scripts, generated reference docs, and reworking existing content to keep it fresh, relevant, and engaging.

Use the product extensively—test user workflows, run example scripts, and collaborate on new scripts to be included in guides—to build a deep understanding of how our tools fit into the machine learning lifecycle.

Regularly aggregate feedback from external users and internal team members, collaborating with Support, Customer Success, Growth, and internal ML practitioners.

Who You Are

5+ years of experience writing technical documentation, with at least a decade focusing on API and product documentation for software developers or machine learning practitioners.

Strong scripting skills—regularly working with the wandb and weave libraries, Python SDK, and automation to generate documentation solutions.

Hands‑on experience with training workflows and common ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, and Scikit‑learn.

Preferred

Experience using generative AI to assist with documentation engineering, interfacing with LLM provider APIs, and optimizing solutions through iterative testing.
