A Brand Technical Specialist provides the heartbeat of clients’ digital enterprises as a subject‑matter expert on secure, reliable, scalable, sustainable solutions that integrate with hybrid cloud and AI. Co‑creating with colleagues and clients, you help deliver the engine that sits at the centre of their digital transformation success. Responsibilities
Build credibility and trust through consultative methods at all levels to facilitate the closure of highly complex deals. Develop proposals that grow clients’ businesses by solving strategic and tactical problems with IBM’s proven technology solutions. Deliver proofs of concept and simplify complex technical subjects for client education. Define and detail IBM solutions that complement and enhance clients’ existing tech stacks. Prospect and identify new clients and opportunities for expansion using IBM’s sales methodology across email, phone, video, and social media, including a considerable amount of cold calling. Support business development and technical teammates in identifying and creating up‑/cross‑sell opportunities within the assigned territory. Qualifications
Confidence to contact and engage potential customers, delivering an elevated experience. Motivation to achieve sales and business objectives while maintaining high client satisfaction. Aptitude for using selling technologies to network, engage clients, and identify new business opportunities. Embraces curiosity and a growth mindset. Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical Education: B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience. Client Focused: Asks open-ended questions and understands customer needs to address business challenges. Tech Savvy: Conversant about technology, latest industry trends, and their application to business challenges. Team Player: Demonstrates collaboration and navigates varying communication styles. Excellent Communication Skills: Verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that are engaging and influential. Self‑Starter: Motivated to work with clients and can lead projects independently. Preferred Experience
Programming coursework or experience. Prior client sales or service experience. Additional Requirements
