Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
A full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager opportunity is available for a motivated insurance professional with strong communication skills and a desire to build long-term client relationships. This role focuses on servicing and retaining small commercial lines accounts, with an emphasis on real estate-related risks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, responding to inquiries, providing proactive support, and fostering strong relationships to support retention
Manage day-to-day servicing activities for assigned accounts, including policy changes, endorsements, certificates, binders, billing inquiries, and related documentation
Oversee renewal workflows by preparing applications, marketing renewals, and negotiating coverage terms to prevent lapses in coverage
Analyze client exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions for new and renewal business
Maintain accurate and compliant account documentation within the agency management software
Collaborate with carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to negotiate terms, pricing, and endorsements, while appropriately delegating administrative tasks
Qualifications/Requirements
Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license
At least two years of experience servicing small commercial lines accounts within an independent insurance agency environment
Experience working with real estate-related commercial risks
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines
Proficiency with agency management software and standard office technology
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Active P&C license in Texas
Professional designations such as CIC or CISR
Experience with AMS360 or similar agency management systems
Working knowledge of common business applications, including document management and electronic signature tools
