POSITION SUMMARY:
The Receptionist/Patient Accounts Representative (Receptionist/PAR) functions as an intermediary between staff, patients, peers, and visitors. The Receptionist/PAR is responsible for maintaining the organization of the medical office by performing various administrative and clerical tasks essential to the provision of efficient and effective care. The Receptionist/PAR is also responsible for the registration of new patients, insurance verification and account counseling.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Experience counting money accurately, required
Experience as a receptionist, patient account representative or similar role, preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines
Ability and desire to learn new technologies
Must be timely and dependable
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to complete documentation accurately
Must be able to follow existing workflows
