Business Development Sales Manager
LOCATION: Long Beach, CA / Hybrid We are an asset-based third-party logistics (3PL) provider of freight and transportation logistics, outsourcing solutions, and information services. Our customers have access to our trucks as well as a network of 66,000 transportation providers worldwide. The Business Development Sales Manager is responsible for solution-based sales, which requires the development and implementation of contractual businesses and strategies to create value for the customer, and to achieve the company’s growth. Responsibilities
Proactively identify and engage potential customers through in-person and online meetings to establish, maintain, and develop relationships. Analyze customers' supply chain and logistics data to identify business opportunities and conduct proposals for both logistics and non-logistics services. Negotiate competitive rates, terms, and service contracts with vendors and customers to ensure business profitability. Create and provide professional reports to customers, such as results and KPIs. Collaborate with other departments in building new solutions and ensuring seamless service provision. Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English. 5+ years’ experience of logistics sales or operation required. 3+ years’ experience of sales of domestic logistics required. Skills and Competencies
Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of customers and internal leadership. Ability to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
