Job Summary The Operations Specialist is a full‑time role based at Georgia Southern University\'s Statesboro campus, dedicated to facilitating event and visitation needs through on and off‑campus partnerships, budget management and providing remarkable customer service to campus guests. This position provides organization and administrative support to the Events and Visitation teams offering students a personalized and seamless experience. They represent the university at all recruitment events and provide informational sessions and tours as needed to prospective students and families. Reporting to the Associate Director of Events and Visitation, the Administrative Specialist will consistently uphold the values of service, collaboration, and excellence advocated by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing, and Student Success.

Responsibilities

Works with the Coordinator of Visitation to coordinate details for daily tours

Manages events\' budget and works with assistant to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management in collecting and paying invoices

Responsible for managing the Visitation email account and correctly routing inquiries to admissions/university staff

Works with Associate Director of Events and Visitation to order event-related supplies

Provides excellent customer service while ensuring confidential information is secure

Provides daily tours and info sessions as needed

Assist with planning and coverage of external events as needed

Communicates with on- and off-campus facilities to reserve and prepare space for Admissions-related events

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

Two or more years of related work experience

Bachelor\'s Degree

Experience managing a budget and event planning

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Abilities

Consistently exhibit engaging customer service

Ability to support various constituencies served by the University

Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position

Proficiency with computer accessories, spreadsheets, and databases

Knowledge

Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University\'s mission for student success

Skills

Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
