Job Overview As a strategic business partner, the Human Resources Manager will oversee key HR functions including employee relations, leave administration, investigations, performance management, and compliance. This role ensures alignment with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
Partner with management on staffing projections, recruitment strategies, job postings, and applicant screening.
Conduct needs assessments to identify and implement employee training programs.
Provide guidance on employee benefits and assist with issue resolution.
Oversee safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Administer FMLA, catastrophic leave, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and other employment regulations.
Advise on company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity for payroll processing.
Collaborate with budget owners to support cost management and recommend expense reduction strategies.
Develop and maintain succession planning programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or Business Administration preferred.
In lieu of a degree: 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
With a degree: 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Familiarity with equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements.
Expertise in FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and related employment legislation.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a general office environment with sufficient mobility and reflexes to perform essential job functions.
