Job Description Physician Business Development Representative Sr (2600005M)

Under supervision of the Manager of Business Development, the Senior Business Development Representative will be responsible for promoting and representing Tampa General Hospital in their respective service line sales focus. The Senior Business Development Representative will be responsible for implementing approved sales strategies and executing tactics to generate service line utilization and achieve sales goals. In addition, this role assists with training and orientation of new hires and serves as an ongoing mentor and resource to the team.

Responsibilities

Ability to comprehend knowledge that includes disease state, clinical research studies, and utilizing that knowledge to deliver information in an educational and sales environment

Demonstrate the ability to learn, analyze, understand and effectively convey complex information

Develop and execute business plans for assigned service line(s) while achieving consistent sales growth within the territory

Promote services ethically and within compliance, based on TGH’s sales process and approved marketing strategy

Develop and nurture professional relationships with appropriate healthcare providers and hospitals

Support service line growth initiatives and achieve sales goals through effective use of the TGH’s sales model

Consistent execution of sales and brand strategies, including effective and compliant utilization of available resources (i.e., approved sales tools and materials, educational lunches, speaker programs)

Leverage expertise and knowledge of service lines to anticipate, investigate and respond to inquiries and service barriers

Demonstrate a results-oriented approach and effective time management skills

Develop an effective territory routing plan to optimize call plan attainment

Consistently record sales activity within PRM system

Utilize time and other resources to drive territory growth

Responsible for attending various service line meetings and committees to represent physician business development

Consistent communication with Manager of Business Development to develop new strategies and tactics to support growth

Act as project manager for key departmental initiatives

Leverage service line data to focus efforts on high value opportunities

Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Related field or R.N. license and 3-5 years of experience in Physician Relations or Physician targeted medical sales; or Associate’s Degree in Marketing or Related field and 5-7 years of experience in Physician Relations or Physician targeting medical sales.
