Summary/Objective:
In line with our organization’s goal of improving residents' lives, the Housekeeper plays a crucial role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining environmental and infection control standards through various cleaning tasks. Essential Functions: Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas inside and outside the facility. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and snow blowers. Clean vents, fan fixtures, windows, doorframes, and other high areas using ladders. Perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms and prepare rooms for new occupants, following isolation procedures for isolation rooms. Maintain infection control and safety practices at all times. Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues. Respect residents' privacy and dignity, interacting with warmth and respect. Respond promptly and courteously to call lights in resident care areas. Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and resident transfers within the facility. Assist in training new staff. Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors. Participate in departmental meetings and in-services as required. Work Environment:
This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring walking around the facility, working in both indoor and outdoor environments, and potential contact with contagious illnesses. Position Details:
This is a 24/7 healthcare facility requiring rotating shifts, including holidays and work during inclement weather. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
