Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and strategic Senior Director, Chief of Staff (CoS) to partner closely with the Head of Finance. This role is critical to maximizing the effectiveness of the Head of Finance and the Finance leadership team, focusing on strategic priorities, driving operational excellence, and ensuring alignment across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a trusted confidante, an exceptional communicator, and a proven operator with deep financial acumen.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership and Execution

  • Serve as a critical thought partner to the Head of Finance on all business and organizational matters.
  • Drive the execution of the Finance organization’s strategic agenda and operational priorities.
  • Manage and track key business initiatives, ensuring timely execution and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with key partner organizations across functions, most notably within the COFO organization and the office of the COO.

Operational Excellence and Organizational Management

  • Lead the planning and preparation for key internal and external meetings, including Executive Staff meetings, quarterly business reviews, Board of Directors presentations, and Finance leadership offsites.
  • Establish and maintain operating rhythm (cadence of meetings, reporting, and reviews) for the Head of Finance and the Finance leadership team.
  • Oversee internal communications for the Finance organization, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Manage the Head of Finance's time and priorities, including meeting preparation and follow‑up on action items.

Special Projects and Initiatives

  • Scope, plan, and execute ad‑hoc special projects on behalf of the Head of Finance, often involving cross‑functional teams.
  • Act as a liaison as appropriate between the Head of Finance and internal and external stakeholders, including other executive leaders, department heads, and key partners.
  • Assist in the development of high‑quality presentations, briefings, and analyses for executive audiences.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, strategy, consulting, or a Chief of Staff role.
  • 5+ years of experience operating at a senior level in a large, complex, and high‑growth organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior executives and drive consensus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Experience in the technology sector or a global company.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of the annual financial planning cycle, corporate governance, and executive reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and high‑pressure situations with composure.

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.

The typical base salary range for this position is $181,700 - $304,700 annually.
