The Director of Clinical Informatics will help lead our clinical technology transformation initiatives, with a focus on our Epic electronic health record implementation. This pivotal role will have the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of the Epic EHR and adapt it to best meet the needs of our patients, clinicians, and organizational strategy. The director will develop and oversee our Epic informatics teams to facilitate enterprise go-live, system governance, and ongoing optimization. You will partner with clinical and operational leaders to define user needs and establish strategic prioritization to address system gaps. Your teams will collaborate across applications, informatics, and technology training teams to monitor utilization and experience data and promote a continuous learning model to advance user adoption and system mastery. Your expertise in health care workflows, clinical informatics, and health information technology will empower our staff to leverage technology with competence and confidence, improving patient safety, care delivery, business processes, and the overall experience for patients, families, and colleagues every day.
Minimum Education
Master's Degree Master’s or other advanced degree in nursing, clinical informatics, information systems, business or health care administration, or a related field. (Required)
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) DNP, PhD, or equivalent in a clinical or technology field such as nursing, clinical informatics, health care administration, or a related field is advantageous. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of seven years of clinical informatics practice, including recent use of Epic, preferably with direct Epic implementation experience. (Required)
Minimum of five years in direct patient care, with experience in pediatrics and academic health systems strongly preferred. (Required)
At least 3 years of leadership experience in clinical practice, clinical informatics, information technology, or other applicable role(s). (Required)
Required Licenses and Certifications وتح
Registered Nurse Current and active RN or equivalent health care professional license. (Preferred)
This position requires that the appropriate Epic certification be successfully obtained and maintained for the assigned area of responsibility within 6 weeks of completing training, if not obtained prior to hire. 120 Days (Required)
Nursing informatics certification such as ANCC Informatics, CPHIMS, American Medical Informatics Association AH&page, or other formal education and training in clinical informatics. (Required)
