Sales Representative
Commercial Door Division (D8)
Location: East Hartford, CT Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM Salary: Based on experience Lingo Staffing is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join the Commercial Door Division (Division 8) of a well-established construction supply company in East Hartford, CT. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong background in commercial door systems, hardware, and access solutions who thrives on relationship-building and revenue growth. Position Overview The D8 Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and driving sales growth within the assigned territory. This role works closely with general contractors, property managers, architects, and facility maintenance teams to deliver complete commercial door, frame, and hardware solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market presence and achieve assigned sales targets within the Division 8 Commercial Door Division Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial door projects across industrial, institutional, and multi-family sectors Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers, architects, and other key decision-makers Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and quotations for commercial door, frame, and hardware packages Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure successful project execution from award through completion Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and recommend appropriate door and hardware solutions Stay current on industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings Attend trade shows, networking events, and vendor trainings as required Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, leads, and customer communications within CRM systems Qualifications 35 years of experience in commercial door, frame, and hardware sales or related construction/building materials sales Strong technical knowledge of hollow metal doors, wood doors, frames, access control systems, and associated hardware Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and develop long-term client relationships Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction plans and specifications Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client and site visits Familiarity with Division 8 specifications, door submittals, and estimating software Prior experience working with general contractors, property management companies, or architectural firms preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range based on experience Opportunity for growth within a stable and reputable organization
