Traveling Structural Steel Foreman
A respected and growing non-union structural steel erector is seeking an experienced Traveling Structural Steel Foreman to support ongoing projects along the Eastern Seaboard, primarily in Virginia with some work in North Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field and consistently delivers safe, productive steel erection operations. As a Traveling Foreman, you will oversee daily field operations, lead crews, coordinate with project management, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Relocation may be considered for the right long-term fit. Key Responsibilities: Supervise structural steel erection crews on active job sites Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower and equipment Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards Read and interpret erection drawings and schedules Coordinate with project managers and general contractors Track labor, production, and job progress using Procore Enforce company policies and maintain a productive jobsite Travel regularly to projects throughout VA and NC Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience in a Foreman or Lead Man role Strong background in structural steel erection Willingness to travel extensively Proficiency with Procore or similar construction software Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus Compensation & Benefits: $35$40/hour plus overtime Typical schedule: 5060 hours/week (1020 hours OT) Per Diem Options: $100/night (no lodging) or $65/night + lodging Company truck or vehicle allowance Non-union environment Relocation option available for a strong long-term fit If you are a proven field leader seeking consistent work and strong earning potential with a growing steel contractor, we'd like to hear from you.
