What You Will Do:

Coordinate with hospitals, emergency rooms, and mobile assessment teams to facilitate admissions and transfers.

Handle inquiry calls, assist with scheduling assessments, and triage to appropriate community referrals.

Ensure assessments are conducted by qualified mental health professionals.

Screen patients for medical and behavioral emergencies.

Perform comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic care for patients with substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric disorders, coordinating with the clinical team or on-call physicians.

Explain treatment plans to patients and families to reduce fear and promote acceptance of care.

Complete administrative tasks related to admissions and precertifications with external payers as required.

Qualifications:

Current RN licensure

Valid driver’s license, a favorable Motor Vehicle Report, and proof of insurance if using personal vehicle

Proficiency in typing and keyboard use

CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of hire

Experience in psychiatric healthcare, especially with adult and geriatric patients, preferred

Strong clinical assessment skills
