
Outside Parts Sales Representative
Department: Parts Department
Reports To: Wholesale Parts Manager
Job Summary The Outside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with wholesale and commercial customers for our parts department. This role focuses on providing excellent service, consistent support, and GM product knowledge to independent repair shops, body shops, and fleet accounts, with the goal of growing parts sales and customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesale and commercial customers
Regularly visit assigned accounts to provide service, support, and product updates
Support existing customers while identifying opportunities for account growth
Promote Chevrolet/GM OEM parts and accessories & our business as a whole
Resolve customer concerns, returns, and warranty issues professionally
Communicate customer needs to the parts department and management
Maintain contact logs, account notes, and sales activity records
Meet or exceed established sales and gross profit goals
Qualifications
Automotive parts experience preferred (GM experience a plus)
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Time management and territory organization
Problem-solving and customer advocacy
Basic computer skills and dealership systems (DMS/EPC/PSX/Word/Excell)
Work Environment
Combination of dealership and field work in an automotive setting
Regular travel within assigned territory
Vehicle provided for official/business purposes
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay with commission structure
