Community Connector Description Community Connectors are individuals who have strong, trusted relationships within specific communities (e.g., senior adults, racial affinity groups, individuals with special needs, language-specific communities). Community Connectors are able to gather and engage groups for the purpose of discussing learning needs, barriers to participation, and other relevant information. Community Connectors are able to bring that input back to Community Education in clear and actionable ways.

Community Connectors will be asked to host three or more input sessions with groups of individuals who represent the community they are serving (Spanish speakers, senior adults in group settings, high school students, etc.). Community Connectors will use materials provided along with their own knowledge of the community they are serving to gather specific feedback on learning needs, barriers to access, and content requests. Training on the materials and process will be provided, and Connectors must complete this training and submit an engagement plan as part of their preparation. Community Connectors will have approximately two months to gather data and report it back to Community Education.
