Entry-Level Community Service Officer (Non-Sworn)

Overview Non-sworn uniformed position within the Police Department. This is an entry-level position that performs duties involving contact with the general public by phone and in person. Assists and relieves law enforcement personnel in the performance of various law enforcement functions that do not require being armed. This position will involve shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in all weather conditions, or may work in the office or in the holding facility in direct contact with persons who have been arrested or detained. Typical duties may vary from routine, non-sworn police work to more complex tasks. Position is under the direct supervision of the Patrol Sergeant.
