Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment
German-speaking Relationship Manager, Event Equipment Rental. £80,000 Basic plus Car Allowance, £100,000 OTE in Year One, £130,000 (uncapped) Year Two and Beyond.
We are recruiting for a major supplier of professional stage equipment covering the German and Central European territory. Think stadium-filling lighting, lasers, high-end audio, speakers and special effects. They already supply some of the world’s biggest bands, production firms and artists, and are looking for a German speaking Relationship Manager to expand their reach and European market share. This is a high-profile role selling into Tour Managers, Production Managers, and Creative Directors for West End shows, Arena tours, Stadium Shows, Conferences, and major Festivals. The role covers Germany and Central European countries, and the role requires you to speak fluent English and German. You can be based in either the UK or Germany to apply for this role. The Role of German-speaking Relationship Manager, Event Rental Equipment
This is not a "hard sell" role. The company prides itself on a "slow burn" approach. They know that long-term, profitable business comes from genuine trust. Your target in the first year is low. As long as you are securing 4 face-to-face meetings a week with the right decision-makers, there is no pressure to close immediate deals. You are planting seeds for a lucrative Year Two and beyond. You will be renting the equipment together with the specialist labour required to manage logistics, installation, and breakdown across different countries for worldwide tours. The role involves extensive networking and corporate hospitality. You must be comfortable effectively managing your own schedule from home, covering the whole of the UK with frequent overnight stays and occasional European travel. German Speaking Event Rental Sales – What is Required?
Fluent
English
and
German language skills
( at least business level in both languages ) We are not looking for previous event industry experience. However, to apply for this role, you must have experience in a
technical-focused ,
relationship-based
sales role. You must be comfortable building a
book of business from scratch , albeit in a relationship-oriented way. You must have a "Soft Approach" to sales, i.e. a
consummate professional
who prioritises
communication
and
incredible customer service
over quick wins. You will be unfazed by dealing with "tough characters," high-pressure tour managers, or the occasional meeting with global stars who want their input on the creative side of their shows. You ask
challenging questions , make
confident decisions , and
solve problems . Your European colleagues will handle the technical specifications while you are training, and your induction will include client meetings alongside the CEO, who is a recognised industry stalwart, to understand their successful business philosophy.
