
Our client, a contemporary womenswear brand, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team! The ideal candidate is well‑versed in specialty stores, with knowledge of department stores and ecommerce markets as well.
Responsibilities
Manage wholesale business with both specialty retailers, with exposure majors and ecommerce accounts
Develop and implement seasonal sales strategies in collaboration with senior leadership to meet brand and financial goals
Lead market appointments and trade show presentations, effectively communicating brand stories and product value
Manage and nurture existing retail relationships while identifying new business opportunities and expanding market reach
Work cross‑functionally with internal teams including Merchandising, Planning, Production, and Marketing to ensure alignment on pricing, margin targets, etc.
Oversee account setup and order entry
Review and analyze sales results regularly to highlight growth opportunities and mitigate risks
Coordinate samples, sales tools, and line sheets ahead of each market season
Assist in tracking shipments and managing replenishment
Travel required for market
Qualifications
6‑8+ years experience in wholesale
Strong product knowledge of the women's contemporary apparel market
Excellent leadership, sales, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Prior experience managing business with specialty stores, major department stores, and ecommerce retailers
Proficiency in Excel, NuOrder, JOOR and experience with ERP and EDI systems preferred
