Overview
Conductix-Wampfler is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven District Sales Manager to own and grow our East Coast territory. This fully remote, field-based role is ideal for someone who thrives on customer engagement, problem-solving, and building long-term partnerships.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow a defined East Coast territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end users.
Travel throughout the territory (driving required) for in-person customer visits.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and support corporate customer meetings.
Represent Conductix at trade shows and industry events.
Resolve customer issues and support order execution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
Proven success in industrial or technical outside sales.
Experience with end users, OEMs, or industrial distributors.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical topics.
Physical ability for demanding field visits (walking, climbing, carrying demo kits).
Adaptability and resilience when navigating customer issues or shifting priorities.
Experience using CRMs and modern sales tools.
Travel Requirements Up to 60% travel, including day travel within the territory and occasional overnights, weekends, and corporate travel.
Location Fully remote (work-from-home). Candidates must live within the boundaries of the East Coast district in North Carolina, with preference for Charlotte, NC or the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point).

Summary The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing customer relationships, driving sales performance, and growing revenue within the assigned territory. This role leads sales activities from initial prospecting through to closing, encompassing territory planning, customer development, budget creation, forecasting, and the execution of corporate strategic initiatives. The DSM is accountable for both new customer acquisition and existing account growth while maintaining detailed documentation within Navpoint CRM. This position requires travel throughout the territory and frequent field visits to customer sites.
Location Details This position is fully remote (work-from-home). The employee must reside within the assigned territory to maintain an effective local presence and fulfill customer and SMO USA business needs. Specific territory boundaries and preferred locations will be defined in the job posting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Territory Sales Management: Develop and execute the territory sales plan in alignment with SMO USA's sales goals. Manage and grow existing customer accounts and identify, pursue, and convert new customer accounts to grow the territory.
Sales Planning and Forecasting: Prepare annual sales forecasts and budgets for the territory, providing detailed forecasts based on customer feedback and the sales pipeline.
Customer Engagement and Development: Conduct in-person customer visits, prepare and deliver on-site presentations and product demos, oversee customer installations, and represent SMO USA at trade shows. Travel between customer locations, facilities, and project sites to advance opportunities. Reimbursement for travel expenses is included.
Customer Retention: Serve as the primary SMO USA representative to assigned customers, maintain strong relationships, resolve issues promptly, and promote long-term loyalty.
CRM Documentation: Record and report sales activities using Navpoint CRM; update contact information, enter trip reports, and provide updates on large projects.
Quality & EHS Compliance: Support and uphold Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies.

Communication & Tools The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams is essential for daily interactions, meetings, and presentations. Familiarity with Power BI or other analytics tools is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with our internal CRM (Navpoint) are preferred.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for frequent travel.
Ability to navigate long-distance driving between sites.
Comfort in industrial environments with proper PPE.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
At least three years of experience in a sales or similar customer-facing role.
