Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School Position Summary
Cardinal Ritter College Prep is seeking a dedicated and mission‑focused Full‑Time Athletic Director to lead and manage the school’s athletic programs. This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and supervision of all sports teams, ensuring that athletics support the school’s Catholic identity, academic mission, and commitment to student development. The Athletic Director works collaboratively with coaches, administrators, student‑athletes, and families to promote excellence, sportsmanship, and integrity across all athletic activities. Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all athletic programs, teams, and coaching staff. Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate coaches while fostering a positive and professional athletic culture. Develop and manage athletic schedules, including practices, competitions, transportation, and facility usage. Ensure compliance with MSHSAA regulations, school policies, and all safety and eligibility standards. Oversee the maintenance, inventory, and proper use of athletic equipment, uniforms, and facilities. Coordinate game officials, event staff, and supervision for home and away contests. Manage the athletic budget, including purchasing, financial planning, and coordination of fundraising efforts. Promote academic accountability and support the holistic development of student‑athletes. Communicate effectively with students, families, coaches, and school leadership. Collaborate with administration on long‑term planning, program development, and community engagement. Uphold and model the values of Catholic education, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Sports Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in athletic administration, coaching, or school leadership. Strong understanding of high school athletics, compliance requirements, and student development. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education. Additional Expectations
