
The Athletic Director will oversee the planning, development, and management of the athletic programs in Grosse Pointe Farms. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who can promote sportsmanship, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage all athletic programs and activities. Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and athletic staff. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national athletic regulations and policies. Manage athletic budgets, including fundraising and resource allocation. Coordinate scheduling of games, practices, and events. Promote student-athlete academic achievement and personal development. Maintain and improve athletic facilities and equipment. Serve as a liaison between the athletic department, school administration, parents, and community organizations. Organize and oversee athletic awards and recognition programs. Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures for athletic activities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field. Proven experience in athletic administration or coaching. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of athletic regulations and compliance standards. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including students, staff, and community members. Demonstrated commitment to promoting sportsmanship and student development. First aid and CPR certification preferred. How to Apply
