Key Responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist

Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans

Manage new hire enrollments, life event changes, and annual open enrollment processes

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and support

Coordinate with benefit vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators

Ensure benefits data accuracy within HRIS and payroll systems

Support compliance with federal and state benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)

Assist with benefits audits, reporting, and reconciliation

Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate deductions and contributions
Qualifications for the Benefits Specialist

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

2–5+ years of benefits administration or HR experience preferred

Working knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations

Experience with HRIS and payroll systems

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Compensation
$55,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
