Job Related Minimum Required Education And Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2+ years of related experience (may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience) Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling or related field Prior residence hall experience preferred Teaching experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong written and verbal skills Training/teaching abilities in a work setting Inter-personal skills and genuine concern for others Ability to organize and work with student groups Managerial skills to supervise staff Ability to work with faculty, parents, and other staff Ability to pass required criminal background check Job Duties
Community Enhancement: Create inclusive, supportive communities; lead with care; supervise hall staff; engage with residents to support involvement and leadership opportunities Supervision: Recruitment, selection, and evaluation of Resident Assistants; deliver training; supervise break housing and summer staff Administrative and Building/Area Management: Complete reports; monitor occupancy; manage desk operations; conduct health and safety inspections; coordinate openings/closings; manage budgets; support recruitment initiatives Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned; participate in departmental and division teams Essential Function: Yes Administrative Details
