Junior Graphic Designer & Print Operator
to join our Emergency Vehicle Graphics team. This is a hands-on, production-focused position ideal for a designer ready to grow in the specialized world of large-format vehicle graphics. Our graphics division creates professional decals, striping, and custom designs for emergency vehicles including ambulances, fire apparatus, and law enforcement vehicles. You\'ll work alongside experienced designers and installers to deliver high-quality graphics that meet the demanding standards of first responders. About Farrwest Specialty Vehicles
Farrwest Specialty Vehicles specializes in the installation and customization of emergency vehicle lighting, electronics, and graphics. Based in Schertz, Texas, we serve fire departments, EMS agencies, and law enforcement organizations throughout the region. Our graphics division provides complete design, printing, and installation services for vehicle branding and identification. Key Responsibilities
Design & Artwork: Design and prepare artwork for emergency vehicle graphics, department decals, and large-format prints. Create print-ready files using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Develop custom designs based on department specifications and brand guidelines. Maintain organized file structures and version control for all projects. Production Support: Assist with large-format production operations. Operating wide-format printers, laminators, and vinyl plotters. Basic RIP software operation and file setup (training provided). Material preparation and quality control. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production workspace. Assist with graphic installations on vehicles when needed. Collaboration: Work closely with production and installation teams to ensure accuracy and quality. Communicate project status and timelines effectively. Support senior designer with complex projects and client revisions. Qualifications
Required:
Adobe Illustrator proficiency
— vector artwork creation, path editing, and file preparation. Adobe Photoshop experience
— image editing, color correction, and format conversion. Design background with portfolio demonstrating relevant work. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Willingness to learn print production and vehicle graphics installation. Ability to follow standardized processes and meet deadlines. Reliable transportation. Must be willing to work On-Site in Schertz, TX five days per week. Preferred
Experience with large-format printing or sign shop environment. Familiarity with vehicle graphics, wraps, or fleet branding. Knowledge of color management and print production workflows. Understanding of vinyl materials and application techniques. Interest in emergency services or public safety industries. Associate\'s degree or certificate in Graphic Design (not required).
