General Description
The New York office of Holland & Knight is seeking a Real Estate Transaction Paralegal for its Real Estate group. The Paralegal will assist attorneys and practice groups with various types of legal matters, providing support in preparing legal documents, researching and compiling data, drafting documents, and maintaining responsibility for files, calendars, and scheduling meetings. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Gather, organize, summarize and index documents from various sources. Attendance at and participation in meetings and/or closings. Preparation of documents and correspondence. Special projects and duties as assigned. Required Skills
Organizational skills to work independently and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions. Organizational skills to maintain daily accounting of time records and input timesheets into the system directly. Communication skills to interact with all levels of internal staff, attorneys and management and external clients of the firm. Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately. Required Qualifications & Education
5 – 10 years of experience in a related area Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications & Education
Paralegal certification a plus Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Moderate or advanced keyboard usage. The base salary range for this position is $40.60/hr - $61.00/hr. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
