Job Description: Commercial Lines Account Manager (Hybrid)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Commercial Lines Account Manager
to support a portfolio of
small to mid sized commercial clients , with a focus on renewals, day to day account service, and proactive coverage support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being client facing, values accuracy and follow through, and wants to work in a firm that operates as true
risk managers
for its clients. You will work with a manageable client load compared to large brokerage environments, allowing you to deliver thoughtful service without being buried in volume. This position will also partner with the team on
Workers’ Compensation and Commercial Auto claim support and coordination . This is a hybrid role. After acclimation and onboarding, you will work
in office two days per week . What You Will Do
Manage day to day service needs for a book of small to mid size commercial accounts. Lead the renewal process including exposure updates, coverage review, marketing support, preparation of proposals, and timely delivery to clients. Prepare and manage commercial insurance documentation including ACORD applications, certificates, endorsements, evidence of insurance, audits, and policy checking. Maintain accurate, organized client and policy records within
Applied Systems
and related workflows. Coordinate with carriers and internal team members to ensure smooth processing and strong client communication. Support the claims process, specifically assisting with
Workers’ Compensation and Commercial Auto claims , including reporting, follow up, documentation, and helping clients understand next steps. Provide consultative guidance by identifying basic coverage gaps, changes in exposure, and renewal considerations, escalating complex items to senior team members as needed. Participate in occasional client meetings or visits when needed, using company vehicles for local travel. Required Qualifications
Prior experience servicing
Commercial Lines
accounts, ideally small to mid market. Working knowledge of core commercial coverages such as Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Auto. Applied Systems experience
and comfort working inside an agency management system for documentation, renewals, and ACORD applications. Strong attention to detail, follow through, and the ability to manage timelines and priorities consistently. Clear and professional communication skills with both clients and carrier partners. Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or coordinating
WC and Auto claims
in an agency environment. Comfortable working in a relationship focused, consultative service model rather than high volume transaction based servicing. Experience in an independent agency or similar client advisory environment. Compensation and Benefits
