JOB SUMMARY:
Provide leadership and oversight for all Laboratory Services within an acute care hospital setting.
Ensure laboratory practices prioritize patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Oversee specimen collection and testing for patients from neonates to geriatric populations.
Direct daily laboratory operations, including staffing, workflow, and quality control.
Manage operating and capital budgets for the laboratory department.
Lead laboratory technical development, including instrumentation and LIS integration.
Hire, coach, discipline, and evaluate laboratory staff.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related health science specialty.
Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive laboratory leadership experience in an acute care setting.
Registered or registry-eligible through ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent.
State licensure as required.
PREFERRED:
Prior Laboratory Director experience.
Master’s degree in Allied Health, Health Administration, or Business.
