Overview
United Trades of America is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Construction Field Superintendent. Projected start February 2024 Construction Field Superintendent
is responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of assigned projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including client relations and cost control of general conditions and overall budget of the entire project. Responsibilities
Ensures that all construction work performed is of the highest quality - holds weekly meetings regarding 3 week look ahead with sub-contractors. Assists project managers in formulation of construction schedule and maintains adhesion to project timeline Supervises employees, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality control and project compliance Schedules and directs all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required Schedules all trades and material deliveries daily Resolves problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documents all corrections, changes and requests Assists Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs Produces and submits required documents accurately within designated timeframes, including as-builts, RFIs and logs, daily reports, incident reports, safety forms, and site photos Maintains a rolling three-week schedule showing all working areas and trades on the jobsite Ensures subcontractors provide cleanup of trash and debris Attends regularly scheduled safety training and field team meetings Performs safety management responsibilities, orientations, quarterly meetings, OSHA standards, program components, documentation, and enforcement Maintains OSHA and company safety literature Documents and completes all punch list items promptly Attends job start-up and close-out meetings Assists OSHA inspectors and adheres to inspection policies Maintains systems and procedures manual Tracks, maintains and secures company-owned tools and rental equipment Completes Insurance Coordinators sub on the job report and returns it weekly Conducts weekly on-site foremen meetings Qualifications
Minimum 5-10 years construction experience working as a Field Superintendent Knowledgeable in general building and site/civil construction Knowledge of reading project plans and specifications Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments Experience working on construction projects with available references Current First Aid/CPR OSHA 30 hrs. certification Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) Beginning level in ProCore Experience managing schedules and working with Microsoft Project Leadership and motivational skills Reliability, honesty, integrity, adherence to timelines Construction related degree or equivalent job experience preferred Compensation & Benefits
